Alliance Capital Limited on Saturday hosted the third Inter-Schools Golf Challenge at Blantyre Sports Club where Phoneix International Primary School emerged winners.
The pension fund asset management, portfolio management and corporate finance advisory firm’s marketing manager Elizabeth Likhunya said: “For the sport to develop, we need to invest in the young golfers to prepare them for the future.” Royal Heritage Academy (RHA) were the runners-up while Saint Andrew’s International Primary School (Saips) came third.
Other participating schools were Bishop Mackenzie International Primary School and Acacia International Primary School. Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) board member Gladson Kuyeri said they appreciate Alliance Capital’s support towards developing the sport from junior level. The Inter-Schools Challenge is the only competition involving schools.
